The Food Replicator: How the food industry will benefit from 3D printing

A lot of our favorite cartoons show us scenes from the future where the characters dictate their orders to a machine and then in a matter of minutes, viola! The food of the dream appears. This fantasy may soon become a reality with the invention of 3D printing. This new technology will change the face of the food industry and transform the way we consume food forever. 3D printing will bring a revolution into the food industry like never before.

Not only does 3D printing make saving time in the kitchen possible, but it also is a solution to bring high-quality food into our everyday lives. There have been over $1 billion dollars invested into startups meaning that the market for 3D printing already has high expectations from this amazing new piece of technology. Online recipes and software that operate with extreme precisions mean that these printers will be able to create many meals at a reasonable price. On-demand service for the food industry is always wanted, along with convenience in preparing food.

Not to mention Gourmet chefs that can make use of this cutting edge technology to bring even more finesse and creativity in their culinary creations. Baking and confectionaries are already a huge market for 3D printers, with chocolate 3D printing already on the rise since a few years. Using this technology to bring innovation and new products to the market.

3D printing is also used to make prototypes in order to make food of the desired size and shape, meaning there will be less wastage of food thanks to this wonderful invention. The impact of 3D printing is much greater at industrial levels, where processing superior quality food in large quantities is the main goal.

Another way that the food industry would largely benefit is by using 3D printing to grow protein artificially and deliver it through 3D printing. This would really resolve the issue of inhume treatment of animals and reducing the greenhouse gas emission related to burning fossil fuels to bring food to our table.

Not to mention the benefit this will have on feeding the plant. With rising populations and rise in demand of food, 3D printing will revolutionize this forever. With the help of this technology, food can be mass produced to feed millions. This new technology will definitely change and benefit the food industry for times to come.

Private Space Companies and the Future of Space Travel

Ever dreamt of traveling into space? Well, private space travel may soon become a reality. With plans for the world’s first commercial spaceport being made in Sierra County, New Mexico space travel may soon become common. It used to be impossible to even think about building your own spaceship and spaceship company to take people into space, but now people have even signed up to become the first space tourists.

Although this trip would be an expensive one, costing around 200,000 dollars per person, but as space travel becomes more common place this price will surely come down. Richard Branson is the first businessman to venture into this field but assure people that the future will see space travel to become more commonplace.

Space travel is with no doubt extremely risky and expensive, so only those governments with thick enough wallets are able to test it out. Although this is still in its testing phase, with almost 15 months of testing before the first trip, but Branson’s company is aiming towards space tourism, and many other companies are joining in to get a share of the market

With NSA helping out these companies to get the first tourism space shuttle out into space, there is a lot of promotion of other competitors to join in on the project. Astronauts have been shipping out to space for almost five decades and now it's time that the commercial industry takes part of this and optimize the technology for more reliable and lower-cost trips. This means that we may be seeing similar developments like with what happened with the aircraft business.

Soon taking a trip to the moon might swell be as easy as taking a flight to Florida. This transition into the private sector is a huge step towards bringing the future closer. Although the transition may be more gradual to avoid any unwanted accidents, but bug risks come with big rewards so the aim is to make the transition a successful one.

Once successful, many more competitors will emerge into the scene taking space travel to an even more commercial scale. Although catching an affordable flight to Jupiter might still be in the distant future, yet the first steps have been taken and let’s just hope that that future comes sooner than we expect!
